Radius FG
by Fontgrube AH

Font Info
Radius FG is a stunningly modern interpretation of the classic Art Nouveau hot-metal typeface "Radium", initially published in 1905 by the renowned German typefoundry Ludwig & Mayer. The bold weight of this typeface rose to fame again in the 1970s when Hubertus Carl "Hace" Frey revamped it, renaming it "Charleston", and it gained popularity on album and book covers. The designer, Fontgrube AH, has created an impressive display font that is both stylishly elegant and highly versatile.

It became popular in the 1970s when Hubertus Carl “Hace” Frey reworked the bold weight of Radius under the new name “Charleston”. It was used chiefly as a display typeface on musical album covers.
Radium FG has, like the original “Radium”, both a regular and a bold weight. I added latin character sets for most Western and Eastern European languages. It is available as a free font under the SIL Open Font License with the reserved name “Radium”. For details see https://scripts.sil.org/OFL.
The font is free for both personal and commercial use, but you can make donations via the paypal link of the font on dafont.com.
There is also a bold extended version under the name of “Lutherkirche FG”.
