Cotrell Font, created by Chuck Mountain, is a striking Extra Bold sans serif display font that is perfect for a range of design projects. Whether you're creating posters, advertising materials, logos, headlines, signage, or greeting cards, Cotrell Font is sure to make a statement. Inspired by the original metal typeface, Matthews, from the Specimen Book and Catalog published by the Inland Type Foundry in May 1902, Cotrell Font has a classic feel that is both timeless and contemporary. To ensure the font's modernity, Chuck Mountain suppressed some of Matthews' more boisterous swashes in several glyphs, while redesigning the lower case "f" and "g" for a more streamlined appearance. For typographers who prefer a more conservative approach, there are right-angled alternates available for the swashes of "e," "h," "m," and "n." Best of all, Cotrell Font appears to be in the public domain, making it accessible to a wide range of designers and creatives.
